Campaign trail brings big endorsements, appearances

With election day around the corner, some big names in politics will be heading to Michigan to help get out the vote. Former President Barack Obama will headline a rally
in Detroit on Friday. Lara Trump, the president’s daughter-in-law to is scheduled for a private reception in Birmingham on behalf of Republican candidate for governor Bill
Schuette. No word if the president will make an appearance in Michigan on behalf of Schuette, who he has endorsed. Meanwhile, Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha, the physician, scientist, and activist whose research exposed the Flint water crisis, announced her support for Gretchen Whitmer for governor. In 2016, Dr. Mona was named one of Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World.
