AAA Michigan says average gas prices statewide are up only 2 cents in the past week to about $2.80 per gallon. The auto club says the average price for self-serve regular unleaded gasoline is about 27 cents more than at the same point last year. Across the local area, pumps in Lapeer are asking about $2.70 a gallon, meanwhile gas is $2.72 in Sandusky, and Port Huron area pumps asking about $2.69 for a gallon of regular unleaded.
