Many local offices up for grabs in today’s elections

Today is election day and there are no shortage of people and issues on the ballot. In addition to statewide races and ballot proposals, local voters will be deciding a multitude of contested races today. The 10th congressional district is up for election today, as well as all of the area’s state house and senate seats. In St. Clair County, county commission districts 2 and 4 are contested. Local mayoral and city council races can be found in the cities of Port Huron, and St. Clair, in addition to a contested Marine City Commission race. County wide voters will also choose who will serve on the St. Clair County Community College Board of Trustees. And also on the ballot are several area school district’s board of educations, including Algonac, Capac, Croswell-Lexington, East China, Marysville, Memphis, Port Huron, and Yale. Polls open at 7am and close at 8pm this evening.
