An unknown pedestrian is recovering at an area hospital after being hit by a vehicle in Port Huron Township yesterday evening. According to the St. Clair County Sheriff’s office, a man was struck by an eastbound vehicle in the 3600 block of Lapeer Road around 8pm Wednesday. Authorities say the victim is a 6 foot tall white male, believed to be in his sixties. The driver of the car is believed to be an 18 year old Kimball Township man who had two passengers. According to authorities, the driver stated that the victim walked out in front of him and did not have time to stop. The crash remains under investigation and anybody with details on the accident, or know the identity of the victim, is asked to contact the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office at 987-1734. Tri-Hospital EMS and the Port Huron Township Fire Department responded to the accident and investigations are ongoing.
