St. Clair County is the recipient of a $375,000 dollar grant for new features at the Blue Water River Walk in Port Huron. Mark Brochu, St. Clair County’s Park and Recreations Director says the grant is coming from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and will result in many improvements to the river walk. Those included new landscaping, walkways, and drainage in addition to a new pavilion that the public can use. Brochu adds the center-piece of the improvements will be an AstroTurf activity area for kids and families to play on.  The Blue Water River Walk is located along the St. Clair River between Desmond Landing and the Seaway Terminal.
