The Port Huron Police Department is reporting the injury of two officers who responded to a complaint of a drunk and  disorderly patron at a downtown bar. Police tell WPHM they were called to Lynch’s Irish Tavern in the 200 block of Huron Avenue early Thursday morning where they asked the customer to leave. Lieutenant Brian Georgia says the suspect refused to leave the establishment and attacked the two officers with his fists. “He aggressively charged at our officers and a fight ensued,” said Georgia. The suspect was taken into custody and is lodged at the St. Clair County Jail. The two officers suffered minor injuries and none of the individuals involved required treatment. The suspect, who’s name is being withheld at this time, is expected to face multiple counts of assaulting police officer, a felony; and disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor.
