Fort Gratiot Township could select their next township supervisor Friday night. At a special session meeting of the township board of trustees, members will review applications for the position most recently held by Jorja Baldwin, who has since been appointed to the St. Clair County Board of Commissioners. Two applications for the position were submitted this week. One is from current Fort Gratiot Township Clerk Robert Crawford, who has served in the position for 17 years and was seated on the township board of trustees for ten years prior to that. The other application was from Fort Gratiot Township resident and WPHM Morning Show host Paul Miller. On Thursday, Miller withdrew his application citing a potential legal conflict with his broadcasting job if he were to run for election. Crawford is the lone remaining candidate for the position. Friday’s special session meeting will be held at 6pm at the Fort Gratiot Municipal Office.
