We’re just a day away from start of all the festivities surrounding the Port Huron to Mackinac Yacht Race. Stepping off Wednesday evening at 6:30pm in Downtown Port Huron is the Rotary International Day Parade. Keely Baribeau of the Port Huron Rotary Club tells WPHM this year’s parade marks the 99th annual. Lineup for the parade begins at Huron and Glenwood Avenues, with the parade traveling south through Downtown Port Huron, crossing the Military Street Bridge, and then ending at the intersection of Military and Oak Streets. Baribeau says the theme for this year’s Rotary International Day Parade is Space, in honor of the 50th anniversary of the July 20th, 1969 moon landing. You can listen to coverage of the Rotary Intentional Day Parade live on 1380 WPHM, and the WPHM free mobile app starting at 6:40 on Wednesday.
