Boat launch, McMorran lights on agenda for city council

Port Huron City Council will meet in a special session meeting tonight to consider two items that are being placed in front of council-members. Once is the rehabilitation of the Riverside Boat Launch and the other is for the replacement of lighting at McMorran Place. Council will be asked to approve a bid of $431,000 from Raymond Excavating for the rehab of the boat launch, with part of the costs being covered by a $300,000 matching grant from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources Trust Fund. Furthermore, council could also approve a $118,000 bid for the replacement of current lighting and the the installation of new full color L-E-D lights at McMorran Place Arena. Tonight’s special session meeting of Port Huron City Council takes place at 5:30pm at the Municipal Office Center.
