The Port Huron Police Department says they have been unable to substantiate a report of shots fired in Downtown Port Huron over the weekend. Lieutenant Roger Wesch tells WPHM the incident was reported around 8pm Saturday night near the Zebra Bar from a boater on the Black River. Wesch says the boater believed the gunshot came from the bar or one of the nearby lofts. Port Huron Police investigated the report and say they were unable to find any evidence of shots fired in the area. Wesch says the claim is “unfounded” and that it is unclear what noise the boater may have heard Saturday night.
