It will be a wet and windy Halloween night across much of Michigan. The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for a portion of St. Clair County. Recent rainfall amounts of around 1 inch have led to increased runoff in the tributaries of the St. Clair River. Cities along the river, including Port Huron, St. Clair, Algonac, Marysville, and Marine City could experience localized flooding Thursday. A wind advisory is also in effect until 4am Friday with wind gusts expected to top out around 45 miles per hour. The high winds have prompted DTE Energy to remind trick-or-treaters to be extra cautious in the event of downed power lines. If you encounter a downed power line in your neighborhood tonight, stay at least 20 feet away from the line and call DTE immediately at 1-800-477-4747.  Additionally, a lake shore flood advisory has been issued for the Lake  Huron shoreline in St. Clair and Sanilac Counties until midnight.
