Port Huron Officials are hoping to make it easier for downtown customers to pick up food from local restaurants in light of the recent order closing all in person dining establishments. Port Huron City Manager James Freed has issued a directive allowing short term parking along Huron Avenue and Military Street to help facilitate food pickups. The temporary parking spots have special signage, indicating that they are for take out customers only. This comes after bars and restaurants were ordered by the governor to close their doors to the public. Take-out and delivery are still allowed.
