Suspect arrested in connection to 2019 Fort Gratiot murder

Authorities have released the identification of the suspect in a February of 2019 murder in Fort Gratiot Township. The St. Clair County Sheriff’s office says 23 year old Josiah David Lopiccolo was arraigned Sunday in 72nd District Court in Port Huron. He is accused of murdering 28 year old Kevin Anderson Junior of Port Huron last year, who was found shot to death along the side of Keewahdin Road. Lopiccolo is being held without bond at the St. Clair county jail and is due back in court June 9th.

A suspect wanted for the murder of a Port Huron man 15 months ago is now in police custody. The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office says a 23 year old Casco Township man was arrested and charged over the weekend in connection to the death of  28 year old Kevin Anderson Junior of Port Huron last year. Anderson who was found laying along the 4000 block of Keewahdin Road in Fort Gratiot Township in February of 2019. Anderson was originally believed to have been hit by a vehicle but was later discovered to have been shot. The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department says the suspect will be facing open murder, tampering with evidence, and felony firearms charges.
