Increased travel in Michigan now that stay at home orders have been lifted is helping to raise the price at the pump. AAA of Michigan is reporting that the current price for a gallon of regular unleaded is now $2.11, up 6 cents from a week ago. The most expensive fuel in the state can be found in the Marquette area where it is $2.18 and the least expensive fuel can be found in some areas of the northern lower peninsula, including the Traverse City area, where gas is $1.93. Locally, pumps in St. Clair and Sanilac County are asking about $2.08 on average for a gallon of regular gas, while pumps in Lapeer County are at approximately $2.02 per gallon.
