Michigan gas prices are down about a nickle from last week according to AAA of Michigan. The average price of a gallon of regular unleaded is currently $2.06 on average in the state, down 6-cents from the previous week, and 62-cents from a year ago. The cheapest fuel can be found in the Lansing area where pumps are asking about $1.92 on average. The most expensive fuel is in the central UP where fuel is nearly $2.30 a gallon.  “Pump prices will likely continue to decline as demand drops due to fewer road trips taken in the fall,” said Adrienne Woodland, spokesperson for AAA. Locally, Port Huron area pumps just a few pennies above the statewide average, asking $2.10 a gallon.
