The Port Huron Area School District is announcing that all buildings in the district will close to in-person learning this week. According to a letter sent to parents by acting superintendent Theo Kerhoulas, the number of COVID-19 cases in the district have increased to a point where staffing has become scarce. Wednesday, November 11th, marks the last day of classes for students at the Woodrow Wilson Academy, Keewahdin Elementary, and Holland Woods Middle School. All remaining buildings will transition to fully remote learning by Monday the 16th. The district says families should plan for remote learning through the Thanksgiving break and possibly into 2021.
