Gas prices in Michigan are down seven cents compared to a week ago, dropping the state average to $2.00 a gallon as many prepare for the Thanksgiving holiday. AAA of Michigan says drivers are seeing the lowest Thanksgiving week pump prices in five years. As demand remains low, prices could continue to drop through the rest of the year. The most expensive gas is in Marquette, Metro Detroit and Ann Arbor while Flint, Benton Harbor and Traverse City have the cheapest prices. Port Huron area pumps are below the statewide average, asking about $1.97 a gallon for regular unleaded.
