Winter storm could bring several inches of new snowfall

A winter storm working it’s way across the central part of the state could result in the first major snow accumulation of 2021. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory until 11pm Tuesday for the thumb area counties of St. Clair, Sanilac,  Huron, Lapeer, and Tuscola. Snowfall is expected today starting at 8am with snowfall totals north of I-69 expected between 4 and 5 inches. Forecasters say expect low visibility and hazardous road conditions when traveling today.
