Labor Day gas prices expected to be the highest in 7 years

Gas prices in Michigan are down 6 cents compared to last week, that according to AAA of Michigan. Drivers are now paying an average of $3.13 per gallon for regular unleaded. That’s 8 cents less than this time last month but still 97 cents more than this time last year. Despite the decrease, Michigan drivers will still see the highest Labor Day weekend prices since 2014. According to the auto club, the most expensive gas is in Metro Detroit, and he least expensive is in Lansing. Port Huron Area pumps are asking about $3.16 for a gallon of regular unleaded.
