The 10th Street bridge in Port Huron is functioning again and has reopened to vehicle traffic. Port Huron Director of Public Works Eric Witter believes the issue could be related to a nearby lightning strike that occurred Saturday night. The lightning strike also affected the traffic signal at 10th and Glenwood Avenue. Contractors were able to repair the issue and the bridge reopened to vehicle traffic Monday afternoon.

Drivers hoping to cross the 10th Street Bridge in Port Huron will find it closed to vehicle traffic. According to the City of Port Huron, the bridge will be in the open position as crews attempt to fix a mechanical issue with the bridge. The issue was first reported Sunday and it is unknown how long the repairs will last. Traffic will need to use the 7th or Military Street bridge as a detour during the closure.
