Michigan Senators Gary Peters and Debbie Stabenow have teamed up with other senators from states that border Canada to ask the Biden administration to lift restrictions that have kept vaccinated Canadian citizens from entering the U.S. – through land ports of entry – for non-essential travel. That request insists that the economies of states – like Michigan – would be helped, by allowing Canadian citizens to return for visits to the U.S. for things like shopping and vacationing. Canadian officials lifted restrictions for non-essential travel to the U.S. by vaccinated citizens last month, however, the U.S. Government extended those same restrictions until the end of the year.
