Charging stations available for those affected by storms

The St. Clair County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management has made available several locations for citizens affected by Wednesday’s storms to charge electronic and medical devices. The following locations will be available for citizens to use during normal business hours:

• Algonac City Hall
• Burtchville Township Offices
• Home Depot – Fort Gratiot
• Lowes – Fort Gratiot
• Grant Township Offices
• Ira Township Fire Station
• Kimball Fire Department – Station 1 – Allen Road
• Kenockee Township Fire Station
• Memphis Fire Station
• Mussy (Capac) Fire Station
• City of Port Huron Municipal Office Center
• Port Huron Township Offices

Several county buildings have also been impacted by the storms. The St. Clair County Health Department, the Day Treatment/Night Watch facility, and some county parks properties are closed today. The Fort Gratiot County Park will be closed in order to clear debris and the parks department will also be assessing damage at other county parks. DTE Energy anticipates power for the health department and the Day Treatment/Night Watch facility to be restored by 10pm tonight. All other county buildings and services will remain open to the public as usual.
