Bayview Yacht Club is getting ready for the upcoming 98th consecutive Port Huron to Mackianc race. Race officials say this year’s event will mark a return of the longer Cove Island course in addition to the shore course, which for the past two years was on hiatus due to Canadian cross-border travel restrictions. There will also be a change in venue this year on the island, with the awards party moving from the Grand Hotel back to Mission Point Resort. More than 140 boats are registered for the race which will take place July 16th.
