Drugs with a street value of approximately a million dollars were seized last week in St. Clair County. The Sheriff’s Drug Task Force is reporting the bust that occurred during the early morning hours this past Thursday at a closed business on Gratiot Avenue in Columbus Township. Deputies along with the Homeland Security’s Border Enforcement Security Team worked together to follow a truck that had crossed the Blue Water Bridge to the Columbus Township location. Authorities say 348 pounds of marijuana and 24 pounds of ecstasy were unloaded from the Semi Truck and into a Van. Two suspects, including a 27-year old Detroit man, were arrested. As part of the investigation authorities searched a home in Detroit and seized other evidence including $36,000 dollars in cash, a gun and ammunition.
