Middle school closes due to threat

The all-clear has been given following a threat at Fort Gratiot Middle School. The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department responded to a hand written message found on a bathroom stall Thursday morning. The Sheriff’s department and the Port Huron Police Department’s K9 unit searched every locker and classroom at the school yesterday and determined that the building was safe. The threat is still being investigated by Sheriff’s deputies and there is no suspect at this time. Classes at Fort Gratiot Middle School were called off yesterday due to the threat, they are expected to resume today.
