An early morning fire has damaged two stores in Marine City. It happened shortly after 2am Friday morning at the buildings housing the Vera Grace Emporium and Newport Clippers in downtown Marine City, located in the 200 block of Broadway. Marine City Mayor, and assistant chief of the Marine City Area Fire Authority, Dave Vandenbossche says the buildings suffered “extensive damage.” No individuals were injured in the fire.
