Major meth bust in Port Huron

A large amount of crystal methamphetamine was seized during a drug raid early Sunday morning. According to Sheriff Tim Donnellon, the St. Clair County Drug Task Force was conducting an investigation into the sales of crystal meth in the city of Port Huron. The investigation led to the execution of two search warrants in the 2900 block of Pine Grove Avenue at about 2:00 am. During the search, about $28,000 worth of crystal meth was located and seized. Also seized was about $1500 worth of heroin, $500 worth of marijuana and a large amount of cash. Seven people were arrested as the result of the raid. Six people, a 33 year old man, 27 year old man, 23 year old man, 23 year old woman, 23 year old woman and a 20 year old woman are Port Huron residents. The seventh person arrested is a 21 year old woman from New York. All seven are lodged at the St. Clair County Intervention and Detention Center. They are expected to face charges including possession with intent to deliver crystal methamphetamine, possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession with intent to deliver marijuana and being a habitual offender. Two of the people arrested also face charges of parole violation. This was one of the largest crystal methamphetamine busts ever in St. Clair County. The St. Clair County Sheriff Road Patrol, Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team and Port Huron Police Neighborhood Enforcement Team assisted in the execution of the search warrants.
