Fighting over tokens will be on a whole new level in the next edition of Monopoly. Hasbro just announced that three of the beloved tokens will be replaced with new ones that the world voted for in an online survey.

Say goodbye to long-time favorites the thimble, the boot and the wheelbarrow. They were voted off of the island. New comers T-rex, penguin and rubber ducky will join the game!

The survey was live for over a month at votemonopoly.com. Here, users could browse the “Trophy Room” and vote for 10 pieces. There were over 50 new tokens in the Trophy Room, among those were the originals. There was the option to keep all of the originals by voting for them or you could vote solely for new tokens.

During the survey-styled contest, over 146 countries participated casting a total of 4.3 million votes.

Some Monopoly-lovers are disgruntled by this change, others unaware of the online contest even said Monopoly was trying to make some sort of social statement by removing “symbols of labor.”

You can buy the new edition of Monopoly featuring the T-rex, penguin and rubber ducky this fall.

The next release will feature these tokens

UPDATE: Brian May of Queen has just announced that Queen will have their own special edition of Monopoly this spring.
