Bob’s Burgers is an animated sitcom that centers on the Belchers – parents Bob and Linda, and their crazy children Tina, Gene, and Louise – who run a hamburger restaurant. Hilarity ensues and people love it.
Archer is an adult animated spy sitcom that centers on the life and exploits of Sterling Archer, the self-proclaimed “world’s greatest secret agent” working for the fictional agency ISIS, under his mother. Hilarity also ensues and people also love it.
On top of both of the shows’ zany-yet-smart (and in a lot of cases, adult) humor, they also both star the talented H. Jon Benjamin in the title roles.

These characters. But if you didn’t already know that, why are you reading this?
Doesn’t take too much to dream up a crossover, right? FX’s Archer thought the same thing and fans were delighted when in one episode while Archer lived as Bob Belcher while suffering from amnesia and being hunted by the Russian mafia. It was a nice nod from one show to the other that viewers could appreciate. But one fan wondered what would happen if the guest spots were reversed.
Simon Chong is a Welsh animator. And like many of us, he’s also a huge fan of the shows on FX and Fox. As a side project for giggles and grins, Simon worked for over half a year to put his favorite characters on the screen together. In the YouTube description, he simply wrote “Bob’s Burgers has crossed over to Archer, but I wondered what’d happen if Archer were to take a trip to Bob’s Burgers. 7 months of animating, illustrating and plucking dialogue from both shows later, here’s the result.”

The result was nearly 4:30 minutes of fan-made crossover goodness!
Simon posted the video Thursday morning and after watching it you really felt like this was a clip from Fox’s Animation Domination! The hard work and dedication to the source materials are evident, and even casual fans will appreciate the effort. But their not the only ones! This video got back to the cast of Fox’s Bob’s Burgers and they LOVED it! So much so, that they made the show’s creator Loren Bouchard watch it, as well. Soon after, Simon got the second best tweet of his life:
Holy crap! Thank you so much! That means the world to me ^_^

The story could stop there. It’d be a pretty happy ending, after all. But the reason that was probably only Simon’s second best tweet is because this one was most likely his first:
Woah, wait, what, really? Bob's is my favourite animated show, that's quite literally a dream of mine!

Here’s where you can watch the project that got Simon his new gig! You can’t help but feel all warm and fuzzy when talent gets recognized like this!
