Marysville city government will soon be moving into its new city hall, located south of the current city hall along Delaware Avenue. Tonight officials will dedicate the new building with a ribbon cutting at 6:00pm, followed by a regular session council meeting at the current city hall building at 7:30pm. Among the items on the agenda is a approval of a purchase agreement with St. Clair County RESA for the entire 1111 Deleware Avenue building once the new city hall is complete. Mayor Dan Damman says it’s a city hall the community can be proud of, telling WPHM it was built on time and on budget. “It’s scaled way back from the (municipal government) campus that we had discussed back in 2015.” The 2015  proposal had a price tag of nearly 5 million dollars. It was turned down by Marysville voters during an advisory vote. The new city hall that comes in at about $2-million. Tonight will also be Damman’s last city council meeting as mayor as he is not seeking re-election this year. Councilman Wayne Pyden is the sole candidate for Mayor in next week’s Marysville election.
