Those traveling on M-90 in Sanilac County are likely to encounter a road closure. The Michigan Department of Transportation says work will begin this weekend on replacing a railroad crossing in Brown City. It’s part of a larger $2.6 million investment to resurface nearly 14 miles of M-90 from M-53 to M-19. Drivers should use the posted detour via M-53, Peck Road and Maple Valley Road. The project is expected to last through September. Work includes shoulder improvements, concrete curb and gutter, and sidewalk ramps compatible with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
