The St. Clair County Heath Department has lifted its E. coli advisory for three area beaches. Lighthouse, Holland, and Keewahdin beaches are now all back open following a closure yesterday due to elevated bacteria levels.

Three St. Clair County beaches have been closed due to elevated E-coli bacteria levels. According to the St. Clair County Health Department, Lighthouse, Holland, and Keewahdin beaches along Lake Huron are all closed until further notice. Water samples will be collected daily at each beach until the E. coli test results are within the acceptable range. Current advisories for St. Clair County’s public beaches are shared on the SCCHD’s 24-hour Water Quality Hotline at 877-504-SWIM and Michigan BeachGuard website at www.egle.state.mi.us/beach/.
