Gas prices down slightly to start the week off

Michigan gas prices declined just a few pennies on average over the past week, that according to AA of Michigan. The auto club says the current statewide average daily gas price is $2.18 per gallon for regular unleaded. This price is just 1-cent more than this time last month but still 56-cents less than this time last year. Both Marquette and Metro Detroit are among the most expensive cities for a gallon of fuel, with both in excess of $2.20 a gallon. Traverse City is among the lowest in the state, with pumps less than $2.00 a gallon on average. In the greater Port Huron area a gallon of regular gas will cost you approximately $2.14 a gallon.
