Winter storm sets its sights on the thumb

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the entire thumb, including St. Clair, Sanilac, and Lapeer counties. Forecasters say the snow is expected to fall starting at 3pm Monday afternoon and continue until Tuesday afternoon. Forecasters say about 2 to 5 inches of snow could fall with higher amounts possible near Lake Huron. Wind gusts could top out near 35 miles per hour and driving conditions could be dangerous.
