State Senate Majority leader Mike Shirkey is demanding that Governor Gretchen Whitmer provide metrics by which restaurants in Michigan can reopen in preparation for the expiration of her latest shut down order on December 9th. Shirkey says business owners deserve adequate time to ready their establishments for expanded operations. Whitmer’s administration has yet to decide if the restaurants will be allowed to reopen for dine-in service on December 9th. During a press conference yesterday, the Governor refused to speculate whether the restaurant dining room ban in Michigan will be extended.
