Community Foundation rolls out new loan program

Local entrepreneurs. will now have access to their share of $250,000 worth of financing made available through the Community Foundation of St. Clair County. Announced yesterday, the foundation teamed up with Michigan Women Forward to help make “MicroLoans” to local entrepreneurs. Jackie Hanton, vice president of the Community Foundation of St. Clair County, tells WPHM’s Paul Miller the microloans will specifically target women and minority owned businesses. The fund will dole out loans ranging between $2500 and $50,000 dollars in size. Applications can be submitted on the MWF MicroLoans website at miwf.org or email microloan@miwf.org or call 313-962-1920.
