Man arrested after denied entry to Marysville school

The all clear has been given after some tense moments Tuesday morning at Gardens Elementary School in Marysville. According to Marysville Police Department Assistant Chief Ed Gerrow, an unidentified man attempted to enter the school shortly before 9am. The suspect entered the vestibule area and was refused entry by school staff, with the suspect proceeding to pull the fire alarm in the vestibule. Authorities responded to the school minutes later and arrested the suspect. Marysville Police were assisted by officers from the Port Huron Police and St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department. The suspect is in custody and the incident is under investigation. Gerow adds that the man is expected to face charges.
