An Imlay City couple is facing prostitution and sex trafficking charges following a months long investigation into area massage parlors. 72 year old Anthony Juip and 58 year old Qing Xu of Imlay City were the subjects of a five month long investigation that lead to their arrests last month. Imlay City Police say a routine visit to their business in the 500 block of North Cedar Street earlier this year for an ordinance violation lead to further investigations. Officers say the business as well as a home in Lapeer were being used as fronts for prostitution. The two are facing charges including conducting a criminal enterprise and keeping a house of prostitution. Four Chinese women living in Imlay City on US work visas were also detained.
