AAA of Michigan is reporting this morning that Michigan drivers are paying an average of 8-cents less per gallon than they were at the beginning of last week. The auto club says a decrease in fuel demand after the holiday weekend is responsible for the drop in pump prices. If the trend continues, we could see costs continue to dip even lower. Right now Michiganders are paying on average $3.53 per gallon for regular unleaded gas. Here in the Blue Water Area though, we’re actually paying less than the state’s average, at $3.48.
