A motorcycle crash west of Yale resulted in the death of a Brockway Township man over the weekend. It happened Saturday night in the area Yale and Arendt Road when the 54 year old, who was later identified as Jody Johnson, struck a deer. Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene. A female passenger was taken to a Lapeer hospital with serious injuries. It’s unknown if helmets were in use or if any other factors were involved in the crash. The St. Clair County sheriff’s department is still investigating.
