It was a busy weekend on the waters for local authoriteis. St. Clair County Central Dispatch is reporting a total of four calls for water rescues between 6 and 9pm last night, due in part to severe storms that entered the area.

According to the Port Huron Police Department, a seven-year-old boy was pulled out of the St. Clair River by an onlooker in the 34 hundred block of Military Street in Port Huron. Another call into county dispatch shortly later involved an unmanned kayak spotted floating down the Pine River in St. Clair.

Authorities also took reports of two capsized boats. One involving a sail boat about two miles South of the Blue Water Bridge on the Canadian side of the River, the other a 40-foot vessel near Anchor Bay that hadn’t properly been secured.

In all cases any victims were pulled from the water before rescue crews arrived and no injuries were reported.
