For those traveling to and from their New Year’s Eve celebrations, Blue Water Area Transit will be providing free, safe, door-to-door transportation through the yearly Safe Ride program. Rides begin at 6:30 p.m. New Years Eve, and continue until 2:30 New Years morning for residents in Port Huron and Marysville, as well as Ft. Gratiot, Port Huron and Burtchville Townships. The Safe Ride program is provided by a partnership with Blue Water Area Transit, Radio First, and WPHM. Riders are encouraged to book their trips early, before New Years Eve, by calling Blue Water Area Transit dispatch at 810-987-7373.
