Construction is set to begin Monday on a set of deteriorating train tracks on Pine Grove Avenue in between Whipple and Elk Streets. The Michigan Department of Transportation will be working to repair the Lake State Railroad crossing that involves replacing the railroad crossing surface as well as ADA sidewalk improvements. The project will take roughly two weeks to complete and two of the four lanes, one in each direction, will remain open to traffic. Construction is set to be wrapped up by Sunday, May 19th.
