All three millages put before Port Huron area voters yesterday have been approved. The closest of the three was a new Sinking Fund millage for Port Huron schools, passing with 52% of voters saying “yes”, with a margin of only about 250 votes. Much broader support came for the two millage renewals on the ballot, that being the City of Port Huron’s Streets Millage and the Blue Water Area Transit millage. 68% of voters in the City of Port Huron said yes to the 2-mill, 10-year renewal for roads and streets. The big winner last night was Blue Water Transit, with 75t of voters in the City of Port Huron and Fort Gratiot Townships renewed a 0.6-mill operating millage for bus service from the regional transportation agency.
