Two people are injured following a rollover crash in Sanilac County’s Evergreen Township yesterday morning. According to Michigan State Police at the Caro Post, it happened just after 9am at the intersection of Deckerville Road and M-53. A sedan driven by a 57-year-old woman from Wheeler came to a stop on Deckerville Road, then proceeded to turn North onto M-53 into the path of an 88-year-old Reese man behind the wheel of a pickup truck. The vehicles collided and the truck left the roadway where it rolled into a ditch, trapping the man inside. Sanilac County Sheriff’s Deputies, Argyle Fire Department, and Marlette EMS joined State Police on the scene and were able to free the man. Both drivers were taken to an area hospital and treated for minor injuries. The 57-year-old Wheeler woman was issued a ticket for failing to yield.
