The Port Huron Police Department is inviting the community to support their CAPTURE program by attending the annual Cops and Jocks Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser next week. Lieutenant Nick Godwin of the Port Huron Police Department tells our Paul Miller how proceeds are used to pay informants who call the anonymous tip line to provide information that lead to the arrest of a suspect.

“Payments range depending what the crime is,” says Godwin. “We want to work with the community to help hold those accountable who committed a crime and give justice to the victims.”

Cops and Jocks takes place on Tuesday from 4 until 7 at the City Flats Hotel in Downtown Port Huron. Meals will be served up by either an officer with the Port Huron Police Department or a RadioFirst personality. Tickets are fifteen dollars at the door for a plate of spaghetti, a drink, salad, and dessert, and children under ten years old are free.
