Holiday light display raises thousands for charity

One Port Huron neighborhood is celebrating after another successful seasonal fundraising campaign. The Sherman Woods Homeowners Association reports over $6,000 was raised this past holiday season for the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle  Campaign. Donations were collected from visitors who came to explore the neighborhood’s famous Christmas light displays displays between Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve. Over the past nine years, members of the community have been raising funds for the Salvation Army, with over $48,000 dollars raised in total.
