
A man is dead after an officer involved shooting at at Port Huron Township trailer park. Michigan State Police troopers from the Lapeer post were called to the Port of Calls park in the 4000 block of Dove Road last night on reports of a domestic altercation. A 52 year old man ad fled the home with a gun, and when police arrived, they claim that he was uncooperative and was making threats. After multiple commands to drop the firearm, a trooper shot him with his pistol, and the suspect was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. The trooper, as is procedure, has been placed on leave as the incident is investigated. The results of that investigation will be forwarded to the Michigan Attorney General’s office.
