
The St. Clair County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant in the 800 block of Howard Street as part of an investigation into the sale methamphetamine. Two suspects, Michael Kovalcsik and Melody Ellick, were arrested, and authorities say more than 40 grams of meth was seized during the raid. Kovalcsik faces multiple felony charges, including possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, illegal possession of ammunition, and maintaining a drug house. His bond is set at $50,000. Ellick was charged with felony drug possession and given a $10,000 bond. Two additional individuals were also arrested at the scene on outstanding warrants. The U.S. Border Patrol K9 unit and Port Huron Police assisted in the arrests.
