St. Clair County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a suspected hit-and-run that left a bicyclist dead in Cottrellville Township.
Around 3:30a.m. Monday morning, deputies were called to M-29 near Martindale Court where 34-year-old Thomas Israel of St. Clair was found in the roadway with his bicycle.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators believe he was struck by a vehicle and are working to track down the driver.
